Providence is calling a Chaplain ( Chaplaincy Services I , Variable Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Maintain a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Support the Performance Improvement process.
Regular and predictable attendance is required for all positions. Failure to meet this standard can result in progressive discipline up to and including termination.
Demonstrate competency in following areas: Active listening. Non-judgmental. Compassion. Awareness of one’s own faith and boundaries in ministry.
Demonstrate interdisciplinary, spiritual assessment, intervention, and documentation skills.
Participate in committees, meetings, patient conferences, and morning report to enhance the provision of Spiritual Care for patients, family, guests and staff.
Establish positive working relationships with all members of the health care team as well as volunteers.
Demonstrate openness and teamwork within the workplace setting.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in Theology or related Pastoral Ministry
Currently enrolled to complete one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
Current ecclesiastical endorsement required. Maintenance of ecclesiastical endorsement also required
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
1 year of Pastoral experience
Master's degree in Theology or related Pastoral Ministry
1 completed unit of CPE, or commensurate experience in parish ministry or pastoral counseling
Board certified by NACC, APC, ACPE, or AAPC, or able to apply within 2 years of hire date
